Of course MIT students and alumni love to build things and tinker, and sophomore mechanical engineering major Trevor Shannon is no different. It’s the range and depth of his creations that’s impressive. Elaborate structures with cards, wooden kitchen utensils, a USB etch-a-sketch, an LED bike light, origami, drawings. He’s also quite skilled with cameras. View time-lapse glimpses of dusk overtaking Boston, sprouting thyme, and Christmas morning at his house; high-speed Edgerton-style photos (one shown below); and macro photos—extreme close-ups taken with a disposable digital camera he hacked.
